you're making a lot of assumptions here that I just don't understand.
we're not guaranteed anything at this point. what if they don't have 3 more new songs they'd be happy releasing?
what if they release an album with ten new songs, plus it has these three? will you then be upset we didn't get 13 new songs?

i get it, 10 is more than 7, but where do you get the idea that not putting those 3 songs on the album automatically means we get 3 more new songs than we would have otherwise?

obviously it's all theoretical, you're comment just makes zero sense to me.

 

Theoretically they will release a full length album and not something less than 10 tracks. If they're having such a hard time coming up with music they feel comfortable releasing than I'd imagine it won't be many more than 10 tracks. (again this is all obviously theoretical) With that logic it'd be easy for them to add the three songs to LP5 for space. So what I'm saying is if those 3 songs aren't on the theoretical LP5 that means they wrote at least 3 other songs they felt comfortable releasing instead of leaving on the cutting room floor. I consider that more new music.

 

no need to fight, the album is just gonna be a series of 7" that get compiled into a box set after they break up anyway

I guess I'm just of the opinion that they'll give us what they want to, and probably aren't thinking about it like they have to write new songs to replace what's already out there.

 

Different ways of thinking I suppose, one person saying they would write and record 3 new songs if they don't include those 3 songs while the other person is saying if they don't include those 3 songs then that's just 3 songs less the album would be. I don't think mene was ever intended for the record

I do think sealed to me will be on it and I think nightmare was intended but will be left off if it ever comes out in the next 20 years

 

I definitely don't think of it as literally replacing. I'm kinda looking at like they way they treated the demos. We got 9 demo songs and then when TDAG came out we got 10 new songs and 2 reworked demos. I would be happy with IAAN/Mene being on the record but if we got all new songs I would be happier.

 

My bad if I came off as fighting with you, @coleslawed. I shouldn't be commenting while on hold with delta trying to find my lost luggag haha It's not a healthy mindset and I definitely got unfairly defensive. I'm sorry.

I'm very indifferent on Sealed to Me and Nightmare, but Mene is an absolute jam!! Would fit in perfect as the 2nd song of an album imo.

 

No love for Out of Range? Love that tune. The Mene single is solid glad I picked it up.

 

i've spoken about my love for out of range many times in here, figured there was no need to reiterate but it's like at least a top ten song for me

 

In positive news, we're only 3 months away from our yearly single!
