Excited for Front Bottoms and Brand New tonight!!! Anybody going to the show?

 

Crime in Stereo's 4th album is the definition of a grower. Really been digging it lately but that one took forever to grow on me. Great stuff I almost like it as much as Is Dead now which is saying a lot because that one clicked with me much faster and I still think is excellent. Actually I'd say it's their best work but the 4th one def holds its own with it.

 

he's doing a live stream right now. he said BN would be a part of that dump, but isn't responding to people asking him to play it to prove it. haha

i would not be surprised if he does. He funded Geoff's label and seemed to be connected in the NY scene before all this stuff went down.

 

right, but if it was circulated outside of the bands camp at all (let's include friends of the band in that), it seems implausible at best that nothing has leaked in seven years you know?

 

That was only because he had money. No one in brand new's camp would trust a rando with money with unreleased stuff

I'm pretty happy with the masks. But I absolute love the shirt - it's awesome!. I tried to get a picture of it in the dark so the glow-in-the-dark could be seen, but also with enough light for the camera.

Great show tonight. My God-- Jesse's voice was raspy as hell. He sounded so good though and that rasp gave some of the slower songs a great singer/songwriter feel.

First time seeing the band (maybe the first time they've played in MT?) and the crowd was small, but mighty. Archers is LIT live. Best song of the night, though You Won't Know was a close second.

Picked up a Mene single and a D&G lyric booklet for only $9. At the end of the show, Jesse thanked everybody for buying records, t-shirts, etc. while clips from some doc played. Pretty touching.

The graphic at the end of the show definitely has 2018 on it and it looked to confuse some of the audience. Will be interesting to see where they go next year.

Last, but not least, the fucking Front Bottom's tour bus broke and I didn't get to see them

Yeah, looked to be from around the YFW or Deja era. I think someone mentioned it a couple pages back, but I don't remember the name!

They've been playing bigger venues for the past two years or so (5,000-10,000)

Sucks about The Front Bottoms. They're so good live.
