this makes sense, I wanted to use dry because it sounds like Geoff's vocals sometimes are momentarily drenched in reverb for effect and I associate reverb with the word wet because of like pedals lol. I think I understand what overdriving the drums means but I don't think I understand what compressing them does. I think I get the effect you mean tho via the word "sizzle" and having heard The Woods

 

I knew Justin Meldel-Johnsen from Hurry Up, We're Dreaming but wow looking at his credits he'd be a really good fit. I know they like NIN so that'd probably be a thing they could draw from
