Pins go perfectly on book bags. Also, are you all still confident the new album is coming this year.......?

I'm confident, yup. Every information report has said that and it seems unlikely they'd tour these cities for the last time without new material.
But first we're to expect this summer single!

YES. One of my favorite parts of Parks & Rec. The hubs and I quote them constantly.

I love John Nolan (legit one of the nicest musicians I've ever met, I caught him after a TBS show and told him that the first Straylight Run album was super important to me and he was like floored as if no one had ever heard it before and kept thanking me for it) but until Adam checks his massive ego and stops putting him on the back burner it doesn't really matter

This isn't a bad thing but I have to truly believe that john rejoined taking back Sunday bc he probably knew it was the best way for him to make a living playing music at that point.

I'd believe that. He has two kids. I believe he rejoined around the time his first was born. It could be coincidence, but he does have a family to support.
Adam could certainly learn a lot from John about humility. I agree with you there. I wish they'd trade off vocals more. I'd love entire verses of Nolan or something.

Well live on tidal wave john sings an entire verse but not on the recorded version, what gives?

He sings that verse on the recorded version? It gets a bit muddy when Adam starts on the harmonies but John brings that verse in.

I haven't listened to any of happiness is, I think the last TBS song I heard is Waco(?), should I listen to Happiness Is? or do they have a newer album out?

I thought Happiness Is was pretty terrible tbh. Just my opinion. I've had no desire to revisit it. I prob will eventually but yeah you're not missing much if you didn't hear it imo.

I know no one else cares about TBS anymore besides me, haha, but "Beat Up Car" and "Better Homes and Gardens" are both top tier in my opinion, definitely where to start if you haven't heard anything from Happiness Is

Next Show - Foals April 22nd

I saw TBS about a year ago. I went most because letlive. was the opener and I simply can't miss them when they come through. Anyways, point is I was SO bored for almost then entirety of the TBS set. Can't remember being that bored at a show in a long time. Welp.

It's worth it for "Better Homes and Gardens" and "We Were Younger Then."

I liked Happiness Is... just fine, but the b-sides are the best thing about the album.

Taking Back Sunday hasn't released a good song in 10 years, IMO. Some of Louder Now is truly great (Spin is probably their best song) and some is truly horrible (I don't know that I hate a song more than I hate Twenty-Twenty Surgery).

Louder Now was the last time I enjoyed TBS, and I suspect the last time I'll ever enjoy it.

Almost correct. "Everything Must Go" is the best song they have ever done and it came out in the past 10 years

Gonna have to respectfully disagree. Just listened to both right after another and it wasn't close. Spin just kills.

tbs IS john nolan and eddie (writing together) in my opinion. Its weird when people say their favorite stuff is the stuff without John

Well, because they existed for many years without John Nolan and released their most successful albums in that time period as well? I like John, but the band more than proved they were okay without him.

I think there is some greatness on Happiness Is...

But I am all for hating 20/20. Song is a garbage fire.

People ALWAYS bring up this song. I think it's because it's the one decent song on an abominably awful album. The push for that song makes it the most overrated song in their discography.
