He definitely said something during play crack the sky. He changed a line to like "it will be here soon" or something. Might not have been that exactly but my friend and I looked at each other during that part and he definitely said something of that nature

 

Also Jesse seemed pretty humbled and overwhelmed by the whole experience, especially right before play crack the sky. Otherwise they were mostly quiet

 

I can't describe how great this show was with words. They were unbelievable. Easily the best show I have ever seen them play. Totally surreal

 

On my phone so I'm not going to do a full write up but tonight was simply perfect. Very minimal stage banter but the guys seemed to genuinely be really enjoying the entire show. Jesse was at a loss for words. I snagged IAAN and the 3DR vinyls. I wasn't going to get the shipped to Canada so this was a cool opportunity. After seeing them two nights back to back in a fairly small venue MSG was just a complete 180. My thoughts are still very scattered and I'm struggling to write this (could be from a day of long driving and little sleep).

Anyways, the show blew my mind.

 

That's a hell of a set, to be honest. Love that encore. Seriously.

 

That was my first Brand New concert. Even though I was in the top sections of MSG I was still able to feel the passion that they performed with. It was huuuggeeee

 

I haven't really paid attention, these Modest Mouse shows are co-headlining? Do they both get full sets, and who closes?

 

I just ordered my first three vinyls! 3DR, Mene, and TDAG. Hope I can pass these down to my kids someday.

 

It varies depending on the date. It's on the poster who closes. Seems like whoever opens doesn't get an encore. Or at least Brand New haven't so far when they've opened...as far as I know.

Also, should mention there was a huge fan singalong of Soco as we were walking out of the Garden, it was so awesome

 

Zack Zarillo posted a pic of the concert at MSG with the caption "year one @ Madison Square Garden". The optimist in me is hoping he means they'll be back again before the breakup.

Anyone see those ribbons they are selling on Amazon that says "the truth is out there" they are sold as a bundle with the deja vinyl or cassette.
