Getting caught up in the thread and I'd have to agree that Brand New fans are by far my least favorite part of Brand New and attending their shows. I understand being curious about what a band members personal life is but Brand New fans seem to take it to crazy heights. With that said sometimes Jesse's wife will have posts that pop up into my explore feed on Instagram I guess based on their algorithm which I find kind of odd whenever that happens (never seen a post mention she has another child/Jesse stepchild though). Kinda weird to see wives of bands that I follow show up from time to time because I feel like I'm viewing something that they might not really want fans to see.

 

Seeing them a month from today. Getting pretty excited, I'm going to start spinning their discography a lot.

 

Totally agree. Though I do appreciate when others do the work of finding out clues and posting them on this site for my consumption.

1000% agree. Really don't understand the mentality of people freaking out as if they owe them personally. Stoked for some new music and the opportunity to see them a few more times.

 

The version you have is one that somebody just ripped the audio from the video and cut out the talking, unfortunately there's a few places in it where the music sort of halts, notably around the 3:01 and 3:23 mark. It's a minor gripe but I still notice it.

 

Wait I think I'm onto something... 2000-2018... 18 years.... 18.... Louisiana is the 18th state admitted into the union... Guys the album is clearly buried in Louisiana! Let's all book plane tickets and start digging!

 

I'm holding onto the theory that 418 is a date meant to be read the as the international standard date notation. Pretty sure they aren't retiring until August 2041.

I love that people are pissed that they are announcing their breakup beforehand. The news post thread is terrible with people being offended the band is "messing" with their fans. Did people think this when Anberlin announced the end?

 

I'm too lazy to go through all the unread posts, did we already cover how Jesse said they're not breaking up?

 

That still sounds like when you tell your friends you broke up with your s/o but are definitely still good friends and are going to stay in touch.

Option 1: Band has no plans to stop being a band and will do what they've always done after 2018.

Option 2: Band does part in 2018.

If it's 1 and they have done what they have with the RIP Brand New 2018, multiple 2000-2018 references, "we're not gonna do this much longer quotes" and all that ... dick move.

If it's 2: Cool way to go out. Fun, unique, lets people be part of it. Not dick move.

 

Is there one guy who follows the band around shouting "MOSHI MOSHI!" repeatedly, or do they job share?
