So I just read Jesse trashed that St. Vincent guitar at the end of IAAN when it cut out. That literally lasted one show. Hahaha

 

Hahahaha this is amazing. All the defending and saying "guys they aren't cryptic!" Then this.... I also love how grumpy @Jason Tate is about their shirts, font and new songs.

For this being my all time favorite band I gotta say I'm pretty indifferent to the whole 2018 thing... Maybe I'm finally growing up and can handle a world without Brand New.

 

Could the reason be an image posted on that website is the exact same formation thats on their new shirt? Quit acting high and mighty.

 

After seeing the live video I've come to like it.

Dude it was proven that that stuff was fake. I'm not being high and mighty. Nobody from the band was ever in Reddit giving you clues, nobody from the band left a card at that tesla tower place. The /r/knowgodsjustwork was a student project. Again I'm not high and mighty, that subreddit is just gullible.

Again, they just find it odd that the Abracadabra shirt has the same symbol on a shirt that was posted in a thread a year ago from a website in the year 2000. If you don't find that funny then idk what to tell you.

 

That was my first thought, definitely looks Phallic.

See, we can still have fun speculation based directly from what the band has given us, and not be completely nutso conspiracy theorists.

Brand New is having fun with it, and so should we. I personally love Mene, Sealed to Me was a grower, but I love the version where he screams the last few verses (hope he did that last night, because it would be more indicative of what version we got on the album), and I Am A Nightmare is still settling on me. One day I love it, the next day I'm undecided on it.

2000-2018 is misleading. It's really like 2001-2004 then 2006-2007 then 2009 to 2010 etc. so technically Brand New is only like 8 years old guys.

 

This shit is hilarious.

 

So we get a new album this year and hopefully a special goodbye in two years. I'm hoping for a live dvd with a documentary on the history of the band ala Thursday's Kill the House Lights.

 

I'd say they've been active since 2000, because they've been playing shows every year since then. If they'd taken any of those years and not played any shows, then I'd argue they've taken breaks, but their record shows they've been active.
