@KennedyBN the meme began by me saying I'm starting guitar lessons and will soon shred Desert, then someone said to come back when I can shred the 137 solos. I hope I've got the feeling and articulation of what happened down.

 

Not that you by any means need it, but my advice about first starting out is do not get discouraged! Even when it seems like you are making zero progress, you are working little by little towards being able to play the stuff you like. Best of luck keep us updated

Me too. Not like I have any right to be discouraged. I get upset despite not trying my all. It's like expecting a 4.0 without having the work ethic of a 4.0 student. (Also me. I get mad if I don't get perfect grades but I'm a lazy student)

The only time in my life I didn't do something like this was my graduate recital... but my sr jazz recital I memorized the tunes I had to play like a week before the "recital jury" where you perform for faculty they decide if you are good enough to earn a jazz degree

I got kicked out of jazz band in high school cause I was just a class clown and my best friend was in there and we'd just feed off of each other. That teacher ended up becoming one of my absolute best friends though so, something good came of it.
