I genuinely feel fortunate to have lived during what has been the chaos of the Brand New experience. As long as I've been into them they've never been a "normal" band. Sometimes they frustrate me, sometimes they piss me off, but most of the time I just love them lol.

Exactly how I feel. They have some good songs, but Narrow Stairs is the only album I know all the way through.

Maybe I'll revisit kintsugi but I listened to codes and keys a ton, just never clicked

I can also confirm after being at High and Low fest that even though it was technically a festival, the entire vibe of it was "Brand New concert with lots of openers". 90% of band tees were Brand New, they had a separate merch booth from the rest of merch (with a longer line than the rest of the artists combined) and every conversation I overheard mentioned them. Truly fascinating how they basically took over that festival.

I was writting 930,155 and went back to check before posting but apparently went down one. WTF who would unlike Brand New, I mean come on seriously. Maybe it was Pharma Bro from his jail cell in Club Fed.

In regards to that article, I was at the Coachella set they reference and it was honestly amazing. Not just the music, which was perfect and probably the heaviest set I have seen them play, but the crowd was HUGE for a mid-day set in a tent, and everyone was so fucking happy to be there, it was amazing

I mean seriously, they started their Coachella set with Mene - Vices - Gasoline, hahah. And everyone was fucking into it, no one seemed to be there "for the old stuff"

Literally love every record up to codes, maybe I'll give the last one more of a chance. I love narrow stairs, plans, and teansatlanticism. Also think the photo album is insanely underrated

I love middle-Death Cab. Trans, Plans and Narrow are easily my top 3. I couldn't ever get into the albums before, and the two after have been enjoyable but feel less exciting

A lack of color will always remind me of The Oc. Fond memories.

You've haunted me all my life is one that stuck out as being a track I absolutely loved. I'll have to revisit. I also love bens solo record from around the same time.

Ben's new album, the cover album of Teenage Fanclub is really fucking good. He has great source material, but makes it his own. I honestly like it more than both the last DCFC albums

I def didnt mind the new one. First record i fully enjoyed from them since Plans. Narrow Stairs is only ok imo

It's actually my second favorite, mainly because of personal experiences though. (Although I still love the songs even without that)

We Have the Facts is underrated in that I think it's as good as Transatlanticism

I actually think that is my second favorite, that's a concept record about crashing a wedding right?

The last Death Cab album was a real stinker. I like Codes much, much more.
