Favorite is probably diary, even though I know deep down their best record is their S/T.

My favorite song of theirs is actually off of The Rising Tide though. "One"

 

Funny to see Marilyn Manson brought up. I've never listened to him much but I was watching a bunch of interviews and listening to some of his stuff on Friday. His interviews are so cool to listen to - it really puts his persona into perspective. I'm actually considering going to see him on this tour, cus I feel like that's an experience I should have.

 

I love how they double the rhythm guitars with acoustic guitars on this record. it's all over the place

As in I like to run away from it whenever I hear it.

 

I just thought that he'd be able to appreciate all the intricacies on his walk.

 

obviously can't confirm but I'm pretty sure KD is one of the "wait"s on 451.. just sounds like him.

 

i think Diary's opening stretch is p much unbeatable by them, and that LP2 is probably most consistent of the two, but my favorite is hands down How It Feels to Be Something On. How do you feel about that one? Since you didn't mention it haha

 

It's all about the layers man. I love all the parts that Jesse harmonizes with himself. Trademark BN. What's better than one Jesse, 2 Jesse's of course.

 

Unless @truelovewaits has a portable record player, idk how he's gonna be able to appreciate the intricacies...digital ain't gonna cut it!

 

Harmonizing with yourself is a trademark of so many artists in this scene that i love. BN, Kevin Devine, Cursive are the big ones. I guess chalk it up to big love of Eliott Smith and Modest Mouse?

 

How's their new record? Never been big on them but I'll prob give it a shot at some point.

@truelovewaits I recommend OWEL. That band needs more love around these parts. Listen to anything by them since it's all good. I saw a dude wearing a OWEL hoodie walking on the sidewalk while I was eating on a patio and I had to get his attention to give him props for that. I totally thought I was the only OWEL fan in Ottawa lol

 

So are we all watching the set tonight again? Haha.
