@truelovewaits Those of us who were not lucky enough to be there were watching their set on periscope and posting in here at the same time. Doesn't sound very wild but it was! 7 Science Fiction songs played for the first time and the stage setup and lighting was really impressive. Def recommend watching the show on youtube from the vids @zacooper uploaded.

 

Wow that's amazing of them! I'll definitely have to check it out later! I'm sure that was fun to be posting while Brand New is playing a bunch of SF stuff for the first time! Wish I was able to be up for it

 

Started with Lit Me Up and played the opening clip before taking the stage. It was sweet!

 

That's incredible. I had always imagined their show starting with the tape audio. That must've been so crazy to watch real-time. What's the "wall" thing people keep referring to? Maybe I should just watch for myself!

Weird request but—did anyone download the @zacooper audio rip from the Archive? I'm unable to access MEGA at work and am trying to listen today so I can post a review/show notes. Thanks.

 

Yeah it was a perfect way to start the show. Best to watch it for yourself don't want to spoil it for you. Here's the full set that I still need to watch too actually. His videos are better quality than the periscope stream. Although the stream was actually quite good quality. It's still incredible to me that we got to watch the whole set in real time.

 

Stop you guys I don't want to watch until after my show, but it gets harder every time I see a post about it

When's their first proper show for this tour?

 

Tonight is a one off in San Fran and then the tour doesn't start until October

 

Is the one tonight a headlining show or a festival? Very interested to see what additions/changes happen for their headliner shows, especially the ones in October. I really think they could do front-back in October!

 

I was about to watch but yeah I think I would rather see it in person first. I would love if Kevin actually played with them on this tour

It's a headliner tonight not a festival so it will be really interesting to compare the sets for the exact reasons you listed. It's so exciting to be a BN fan again and I love it.

 

The sweatshirt on the left hella reminds me of this creepy manga called Uzumaki where a whole town (maybe the world? I forget) gets taken over by spirals, like people's faces get eaten by spirals and shit. It's terrifying and makes me really want that sweatshirt haha

 

It's so nice to not have my Brand New fandom be complete cynicism anymore!

I don't think so but I got a lot of stares and one dude who didn't know me complimented the shirt. @ComedownMachine spotted me from a ways away cause of it though lol
