That tour was my first time seeing BN and mwY and my only time seeing thrice. God damn that was good.

There's also one from a Canadian tour they did, I can't remember what year it's from. I loved the tshirt but never pulled the trigger on it. I think it was red and had a loon on it. Been trying to find it online recently actually haha

 

Only time I saw BN was on the Modest Mouse tour.

So sad because that show was awful even though Brand New was amazing.


Really hoping they come back to Seattle again next year!

Is it weird that I really really wish I was from Jersey and lived in New Brunswick in the late 90's early 2000's? I just would have loved to be part of that scene there.

 

Dude, not at all. Jersey gets such a bad rep but it's really nice. I work at a college ten minutes from asbury, a minute from the beach, great food, great people... I love Jersey (gaslight > Bruce)

 

Also fun fact: I have owned a guitar for a few years and never learned to play it. 451 has inspired me to sign up for lessons.

All jokes aside. I'm going to my friend's wedding in SLC later this year. Not the first time I've been to the 'tah. I plan on getting very drunk.

Haha yeah I mean Utah has its quirks for sure. Be sure to drink extranto get drunk because the alcohol here is like suuuuuper watered down apparently. But honestly SLC isn't a bad place to live. Pretty good music scene, some really fun outdoors stuff close by and a pretty good like art culture..... but I'd love to move away for a while like back east or Pacific Northwest

Lol, my friend's dad is military so we can go to the base and get actual beer/actual. Makes sense . Yeah, Utah is beautiful, honestly. I had a lot of fun last time I was there. The onnnnly thing that I noticed is that where I was reminded me a lot of this city in California called Dublin, which is where all the rich white people live and everyone is superficial and cares a lot about their appearances and it's almost like their kids are trophies to show off. That was my experience. Obviously that's not all of Utah.

 

I've comed to the realization (or is it realisation or both?) that the content is much better in here when it's less crowded.

Yeah that kind of thing is huge for like the suburbs and stuff around Salt Lake. Like the area I grew up was very very much like that. Like when I started wearing band t shirts and skateboarded I automatically became the kid other parents didn't want their kids hanging out with hahaha
