As for the 2018 being the end discussion...with how much trouble Jesse has clearly had with expectations and people talking about his work and how clearly nervous he was about releasing a new album, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he wanted to do the 2000-2018 thing just to fucking end all the expectations of more new music. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they took a year or two off maybe, but I think more than anything else he just didn't want to deal with the expectation of new music any more. So maybe by 2021-2022 they throw something else together because they're more comfortable and don't feel pressured. That's my hope anyway.

It seems to have worked with most of the hardcore fanbase, but having a #1 album might cause some noobs to start expecting a new one lol

 

When Brand New ends, I'm hoping for four solo projects, a tell-all book deal, and a fireman-style calendar.
