Crowd gets hype with Sic Transit though, definitely a favorite among the fan base

 

The thing about the devil and god songs is I can hear them on every tour bc I feel like they are always a little different with outros and what not

 

Impressive. CGIO seems to be an early favorite (maybe cause it's track 2?).

 

they should cut sic on the basis that it sucks live because jesse can't sing it fast enough

 

I've only ever seen them live once but they didn't do Quiet Things. I don't think they care about popularity.

 

I don't like "staples" in sets if the band doesn't wanna play them, but I've never seen a BN show where they didn't play one or two of these three songs once they were released IIRC.

@Jason Tate , when Brand New officially comes to an end, can you/Chorus curate a tribute album for charity? From Science Fiction, specifically, I could hear O'Brother doing "Lit Me Up", mewithoutYou doing "Could Never Be Heaven", TWIABP doing "Same Logic / Teeth", Kevin Devine doing "137" or "Desert", and Thrice doing "451".

Hah, that would be fun. No idea if the labels involved would let that ever happen though ... curious what what need to happen, probably raise a lot of money for studio time.

I don't know about "bad". I don't go to a lot of live shows so I was a little disappointed. haha. They did do Flying at Tree Level though which was amazing.

 

Depends if their mail team had wine last night or not.

 

The first time I saw them they didn't play Quiet Things. Thought it was odd.

Second time I saw them they did. Modest Mouse didn't play Float On the second time though

 

Well there's a year and about 4 months before it needs to be figured out. I'd volunteer my services to help make it happen.

Iordered something on Thursday and I don't expect it today but I was just curious. They say 2-10 days which is a wide range.

 

It definitely has that O'Brother vibe to it. Heavy, but that slow burn that never really lets up.

 

I think they just take that from USPS because that's what they say for media mail.

 

Ugh that experience was hard to sit through last fall, hardly anybody at Ithaca seemed to know it either and made the already-dead crowd worse in mood. Dumb punks started their 70x7 chants right after IIAN.
