    Wait, really?

That's my 2nd favorite Brand New song of all time

My dream song to see live would be "(Fork and Knife)", but I know that ain't going to happen.

For this upcoming tour, I really do hope we get a lot of Science Fiction songs. Then, for a hypothetical farewell run in 2018, I wouldn't mind a more balanced set with like 4 songs from each album, plus the 4 re-worked demos and "Mene" and IAAN.

Why do you feel that way?

It's one of their most popular songs

My favorite song to see live is probably Soco, A) because they've only played it 2 or 3 times out of the 10 times I've seen them and B) the ending where Jesse sings over the crowd and the 'I'm just jealous..." ending is always phenomenal.

Most of the times I've seen them, they close or encore with Play Crack the Sky.

I was lucky enough to be at the show where they played Noro the first time ever...right after they played Deja in its entirety in 2013 (also saw Noro on the MM tour).

With a band like this they don't really need to play their hits though

I seriously would rather see every other song on Deja played live before Sic Transit, I don't think the vocals in the verses sound good live

i think they've played Sic Transit every time in the 7 times i've seen them. i've only seen them play Quiet Things once though, and not since 2007.

Sic Transit always sounds weird to me live. There's always something off with it

I haven't seen them in a while, outside of their Lolla set which I don't really count, but I'll give you that. I also wouldn't mind if they "reimagined" some of these songs in their current style and think STG could be a good candidate for that, more contemplative, less aggressive.

There was a while there where if you saw them play Quiet Things it was like a rarity almost (especially because of how big that song it... Not a rarity in the sense that like seeing one of the demos is a rarity)

I would be so bummed if they didn't play anything from Deja personally.

All bands/artists should play their hits live.

    No and/ifs/buts about it.

If you aren't playing your hits live, you are doing it wrong.

And if you aren't playing a balanced set with a mix of all albums, you are also doing it wrong in my opinion.

After listening intently I think the lyrics to the final chorus of can't get it out are

    Not just a manic depressive
Toting around my own cloud (like a cloud of depression)

    I've got a positive message
Sometimes I can't get it out

Bands playing their hits every single show is the reason I stop going to their shows because it's 90% the same songs every time

On a final tour, they're going to play their hits. I would imagine it as basically an expanded version of a festival set.

I would love it if they did 2 sets – either in the same night or over 2 nights – one with the hits and one with deeper cuts.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that they defended Neck Deep

yes, i remember early in the Devil and God touring cycle, thinking "how is a band with 3 albums playing a show without their SINGLE??" but now as a grown up i understand this band better

    Not true.

More like 50% the same depending on band.

We reach for the longest shadow

Yeah I'm a huge Coheed fan, but if they insisted on playing ALL of their poppy "hits" every show, it would get old real quick. Brand New doesn't have enough of those songs for it to be an issue though. Sic, Quiet, and Jesus? what else could even be considered a "hit"?
