What blows me away is the restrain they had to wait until the 5th and 6th songs respectively to introduce Jesse's screaming and Vin's guitar clinic. And that's not to say his guitar playing isn't great leading up to 137, but we hadn't heard a solo quite like that before from him. 1996 is the closest that comes to mind.

I'll have to check it out if I'm ever in the neighborhood. I haven't been to Boulder since my wife graduated culinary school there.

yea, the end of limousine and you wont know have great lead guitar parts but not a traditional rock solo like this. his solos on this are so melodic though and thematically built, theres a melody or rhythm to catch on to and its what makes them so good. I know I could learn a thing or two about rock solos listening to them

    This thread is good again.

I'd be happy with anything Jesse decided to put out even if it was a live covers record like Dustin did that would be sweet. Maybe not necessarily live but i would kill to have studio versions of Oh Comely, Trailer Trash, Car, Accident Prone, Why don't you find out for yourself, etc and the closer could be Sealed to me since that one is basically just Jesse solo anyways. Now i'm anticipating something that will probably never happen hahaa

Edit: Can't forget Thunder Road his cover of that one is great too.

    Edit #2: And Sprained Ankle

I would not be surprised if Sealed to Me never came out

    Shut the FFFFFFRESHFISH UP

I really want Jesse to do solo stuff, but if anything I feel like he'll get into more producing. Bubblegum and that one CEG song were both great production outings for him.

I don't want to ever ask anything from this band again now that I got this LP, I think they delivered such a quality product that was well worth the wait. I'm going to be listening to this pretty much non stop until I see them in october

I can't wait to listen to this album on a good pair of headphones and pick up Garret's bass lines and notice Brian's awesome drumming. Those 2 dudes need more love. The rhythm section in BN sometimes doesn't get enough attention.

With this album, I'm satisfied. Solid chapters that I (& all of you) really enjoyed. I'm looking forward to what's next, but right now we have a top album from a band that means a lot to so many
