The thing is that not literally every post in the thread HAS to be about the album, but I think the YFW conversation has come up like three times, it's obvious that the majority has a consensus on that record, it's not a very engaging or interesting conversation... it's not benefiting anyone. Yeah, these forums can sometimes be a little abrasive, I suppose, if you're not familiar with the dynamic, but *certain new users* should like, read the room maybe? Take the massive, ineluctable, screaming hints? Move on?

 

I'm sure the limited will be awesome too. This way you can have both!

 

for some reason i got banned from reviewing on there lol. im too lazy to hit up a mod to find out why. i'll have to look up macdougal but i do enjoy geldofpunk's reviews.

 

Me too...is the only way to pre order that one by calling them? I'm in the UK and their site doesn't have a store!

Yeah welcome to the newly wed life! haha I got the gold bundle of Black Mile and when I told my wife I was gonna get the tour variant to hang on the wall she shut that down. Only one variant for records for me!

 

Wait until you have kids! (Unless you already do) Real difficult to buy any records at that point!

 

Other sites will eventually have them for sale im sure. Also we are waiting to here the pressing #.

But guys something has to justify the extra $20 for the limited edition. I want more than just a cool color.

 

its explained in a previous episode that my father created ovens that could go much higher in temperature than conventional ovens, but because of how cheaply they were made they often burned everything or even spontaneously combusted. my father would then try to sell them in mexico only to gain a reputation as "el horno diablo" or "the oven devil"

What does it take? They only have FIVE albums. So it takes at least having heard all them.

But it does matter, you've heard them all.....

 

That's normally the way I am too. In fact this will only be the second record I own that I have more than one variant.

 

People are allowed to like a band no matter where they come in or what their relationship to the old material is. Some people have been there since the early days, and some people just hopped on. The band is happy to have both groups, so judging the quality of someone's fandom is dumb.

Haha yeah it's weird now all of a sudden I have to be responsible and stuff. Your wife is into music though right? Cause that helps me a lot hah. Like when I texted my wife about the LP5 preorders she was like "GET IT" haha. But that's because she loves brand new and knows how much they mean to me too.

 

Nah man. Whether or not you've heard every album a band makes doesn't determine if you're a fan. If the person considers themselves a fan, they're a fan. That's really all there is to it.

 

Yeah like I'd love to have more than 1 variant, but stuff gets pricey. This guy in the Manchester threads has like every variant of all their stuff..... thats dedication and makes my wallet hurt thinking about it haha.

I'm sure this will be more than just cool colors. I think it will be pretty special. I've never bought the narrative that these guys treat their fans badly, and I think this will be something really cool to reflect how much they care...if that makes sense.
