If people are going to rank I'd recommend doing it in a different thread. Multiple users on the site have expressed in the past that ranking clutters up threads, makes them hard to keep up with, and dissuades real, substantive conversation. There's nothing wrong with it, and I think it can be fun every now and then, but I think it'd be better if it was done somewhere else.

Lists of songs are pointless, I just scroll through them. The brackets at least break it down and allow focused discussions. But I'm certainly not running a bracket here or in any BN thread.

You're good! And to be honest I think you're right, even though I really don't think I could stomach a full on bracket of Brand New songs, haha. Just trying to help keep the thread a little less chaotic.

The album is gonna drop on 9/11 in SF @ the Warfield.
Because no one else releases shit on a Monday and they certainly don't do their CD release show on the opposite coast they are from.

But they are gonna release a vinyl (not limited) that is 95% as cool looking at the $50 limited one. It will cost $20.
And they will do it a month before everyone else gets their limited pre-order

Honestly they broke my patience. While I wish I could have preordered... I think I can hold out at this point.

 

Would you guys rather not have anything about the album (artwork, single, title etc) revealed before it drops or are you hoping we get something before October

I don't know where else I'd buy this album tbh. Best Buy seems like the only place that would.

 

Lol I love what they wrote about IAAN. Saying how all their hardcore fans love it, and it's their best song to date. Apparently they don't read AP. Not sure how it was received elsewhere.

I personally like it, but it's definitely not their best song yet.

 

I've been thinking about it and I'm not sure I want there to be any branding on the album at all. No album art/title/etc. I think it would be kind of cool to experience this album after all this waiting with JUST the music.

 

This is neat question that I hadn't thought about. Personally I would like to get the album artwork and tracklisting, and that's it. Mainly because the album artwork for both TDAG and Daisy, for me, have a direct impact toward the sound of the album - as well as the names of the songs. So yeah, I'd like the artwork and tracklist, but other than that I'd prefer going in blind.
