Well 70 x 7 is fine bc it's about friendship. That one lyric from Jude law is a bit rough but it isn't much different than what most bands were doing at the time.. The rest of the songs seem pretty innocent to be honest

Do you like these lyrics blake?
    This is the true test.

"How darkly the dark hand met his end
He was withered and boney, exposed for a phoney"

I feel like that Jude Law like is intentionally "bad". I don't think he is trying to teach morality in a song like that.

I guess you could argue that you shouldn't joke about stuff like that, or shouldn't treat it lightly.

i feel like every """alt rock""" band gets compared to weezer. this band hasnt made a song in like fifteen years that sounds anything like weezer

I just wanna say that Out of Mana fucking rips. I love the rhythm of the "I can read the rest to myself" bit in the middle of the chorus.

For someone who has posted a lot of unpopular opinions in this thread I feel like blakebeats is gonna figure it all out. Shitting on them til they leave is a crappy move that doesn't accomplish anything positive.

catch more flies with honey than vinegar or something like that

Rivers Cuomo invented the electric guitar

    Regular

The verses of this song(the instrumentation, the pace, the way jesse sings it, and even the lyrics a little) remind me of a specific NIN song and it's really distracting.

Those are pretty good lyrics I think but not as good as most of the bands lyrics

  25. cricketandclover

    Things have changed.

Their best lyrics are clearly: "If you were a telephone, you'd still be off the hook"
