Because someone asked for recommendations on bands to listen to?

because they're good bands who happen to not be dudes. again, the way you're perceiving the statement is revealing so much about your character

 

yet every post in this thread of all men isn't seen as weird. why?

 

There was PWR BTTM, but that isn't to take away from your point at all. The overwhelming majority so far has been by male members of scene bands. I can totally understand why tons of people aren't wanting to run to any all male bands right now for comfort, regardless of whoever the specific band is.

I'd disagree, but its worth an assessment based on this much flak anyways, so thank you for slapping the bare minimum label on my opinions I guess

Curious why you would make the assumption I am a female. Is it because I recommended people listen to some great female artists?

to go back to the purpose of posting bands with women in it, it's almost like elevating women to take the roles vacated by abusive men is a good way to continue adding diversity to music and make it less likely these things happen either by having people less likely to abuse or having more people there to stop someone else from being abusive RIGHT?????????

also here is a very good post a friend of mine and philly musician (in a very great band for everest) wrote about how abusive men even when they might do the right thing still bring down the women around them

 

I wanna suggest @Jason Tate a feature I really like from other forum I hang out. It's a box office focused forum that uses a system of "reactions" instead of simply likes. I feel like I would want to use the "Disbelief" reaction with Apocalypse face as the emoji for some posts now.
