The band totally knows now and have a lot of shit stain fans harassing the victims and they have said nothing. Shameful.

 

Predators are especially adept at hiding their behavior from those closest to them. I don't think that's the issue. His bandmates deserve condemnation for not saying a word all while their fans mercilessly attack his victims.

Yeah, when you put it that way, you are completely right. And I'm sure that point has already been made many times in here already, so I should have read more posts. It's just been hard for me to even want to come into this thread since the news broke just because of the memories alone, nevermind reading through a few pages heh.

I highly doubt the rest of the band saying something will stop people from attacking victims

Why would the band saying something make shitty people stop being shitty tho? We already know these people don't care at all. I imagine they'd just turn on the band saying theyre throwing Jesse under the bus to save face. Actually I'd put money on that being the reaction. Any amount

idk i think the fact remains that this band, however wrong it is, still has a lot of people who will listen to what they say. their word means shit to me and i don’t think it’ll fix the problem entirely (by any means, you’re right, shit people are probably gonna stay that way) but yeah i do think them coming out and saying something would take some of the heat off of the victims. also i bet that there are a lot of really young people who are watching what’s happening right now—they should own up! take responsibility! do fucking something with the power they still have but do not deserve

 

idk i feel like most crazy fanatics have always seen jesse as the band and wont take the rest of them seriously. maybe im cynical.

 

I think some sucky people will continue to suck but when I was young I know I was glued to everything my faves said. It had a massive influence on me, prob too much lol, and I hung onto every word and it rly did help shape my world view. If it could help teach anyone how to treat survivors and how to talk about assault in a constructive manner, which I think it would, it's worth doing

I've avoided this thread for a few days, so I'm sorry if this has already been discussed. But I've been reading a lot about this Ockechobee Festival (I definitely fucked up the spelling) in Florida that was supposed to release it's lineup last week but have been delaying it since Brand New was supposedly gonna be billed very high.

Given that 2018 was supposed to be the band's farewell year, what are the odds that all the big fests like Coachella, Lolla, Govball etc. had booked them as like a second tier act and are now scrambling to get out of their contracts?

 

100% happening with all those fests right now, I actually thought that earlier about Coachella
