my only solace in all of this is a pathetic hope that 99% of those comments are purposefully stupid and made with "i'm going to be a piece of shit troll right now" thinking in mind. because if those are actual comments by humans who think what they've written then i don't want to be on this planet anymore.

 

I know I'm several pages late but the fact that one of the tags for the Lacey / Nolan fanfic was "non-canon relationship" made me laugh a bit more than it should have.

On the subject of Jesse, I'm not sure what I can say that hasn't already been said. I'm angry, confused, and upset that someone who was such an inspiration to many - myself included - was capable of this behaviour and acted on it a multitude of times. I hope the victims find peace and I hope more and more of these creeps hiding behind their music are found out.

A few weeks/months ago the list of people I trust in this scene from the past and currently would have been fairly long. At this point though I'm probably down to just a small handful that I truly could not fathom, and they are all people who mean as much to be for who they are outside of the band as for their music. I won't mention specifics since I understand the comments saying that it isn't very helpful, but honestly if any of them come out in all of this I don't know if I'll be able to handle it. BN meant everything to me for their music and the experiences of their shows and what it got me through, but I didn't have any personal connection to the members themselves like some other bands. The last few I have would be so much more devastating than I can even fathom right now.

 

The Interrupters has a female singer if you’re into ska/punk. Fun band

 

Speaking of forensic files I watched an episode recently where one of the scientists names was Jason Tate.

I just got tagged on facebook by a very sweet woman who I know only because of BN and who I thought was finally on the same page with me about how serious this is, but it turned out to be a hundred comments about how Nicole is a liar and a drug addict and trying to discredit her and it's so disgusting. I can't believe I got pulled into something like that.
