I've now heard 75 albums that came out this year. My goal is to reach 100 by the end of the year. I always get overwhelmed with how much music there is, I don't get how some people here can listen to 300+ new albums a year!

Doesn't surprise me they definitely seem to be hitting up a lot of the same venues as the BN tour. Tonight in Dallas it's at the Bomb Factory.

I saw BN last summer 2 nights in a row and it was pretty sweet I mean totally unexpected that they were going to add a second date in Mtl so I had to jump on the opportunity. First night my gf went with me watched it way back. Second night I went on my own since she had to prepare for a work presentation and eventually made my way up to 3 or 4 rows from the barricade. Closest I've ever seen them from so it was the best of both worlds. Ended up seeing them a third time in the same year in Ithaca in the fall.

How did you manage to see FOB twice in the same day? lol

Lol, I wish I still sought out music with such fervor. I am so lazy. Like, this is incomprehensible to me

Sadly that Acceptance record seems so forgettable to me now. Came out so early on in the year and there's been soooooo much good stuff since. Speaking of stuff that came out earlier on in the year Mat from Citizen. His brother Chris has a band called The Flats. Mat used to be in it actually, he was the drummer on the first few releases (he does sing at the end of the 4th song on the EP)

Anyways I definitely still spin it regularly. One of my favorite EP's of the year. Reminds me of the Coasta one. Mostly because of the brother connection on that one too but that's another one that has aged well. Solid indie/alternative rock.

@KidLightning you should check it out after PTM.

Streaming makes it so easy for me. I just add stuff that I see recommended, seems interesting, or is from artists I like. I listen to music a lot of the day at work, so I just throw stuff on then and if it catches my ear I make a note of it to revisit when I can focus more attention.

I would see BN on back-to-back nights. I hope for their last tour they do a mini residency in Chicago, I will go to every show.

I also just remembered that I saw Weezer on back-to-back nights because they were doing The Blue Album in full one night and Pinkerton in full the next. I also saw Gaslight twice at least in the same weekend, but I don't remember the exact timing. They played Lolla and I saw them at a Lolla after show that weekend too.

For FOB I had tickets to see them at an arena show and then they did a pre-show earlier that day, like literally in the middle of the afternoon. It was during finals while I was in law school, so I stopped studying for a few hours, went to the show, went back to study more, and then went to the arena show.

I know I listened to The Flats' EP back in January, and I enjoyed it, but I will have to revisit.

I'm catching up to you! I think I'm just shy of 70, having been at about 12-13 in September, but I haven't counted again since before my binge listening this past weekend. Some people in the 2017 Albums thread are past the 600 mark and it blows my mind.

    :scream:

And I thought I listened to a decent amount of stuff. The scary stuff is this is the stuff you liked which means there's even more than this. Dame dude. Impressive.

Edit: And after seeing @phillyfradet :scream::scream::scream::scream: 600? That's insane. This does make me want to take the time and count just how much I've listened in 2017 to see how I stack up to that.
