I just bookmarked this interview from the Daisy era and will read it tomorrow. But just skimming it now and I noticed this. Hmm interesting. Wonder what this "Lazy" song is.

Was there a song on the new record like that?
JL: When Vinnie showed me "You Stole," I just thought that was the coolest thing I ever heard. Even some songs that didn't make it on the record, like this song that Brian [Lane, drums] wrote we call "Lazy." When he brought that, at the time I was like, "This has to go on the album." And there's days that I think it should have been there and there's days that I don't think it would have worked the right way. But I just remember hearing it and thinking I never would have though to write that.

I sang at karaoke once and it wasn’t well received. Not that people got upset, I think they were just confused. I legitimately like that song though, and a few others by Creed

 

So Creed was my favorite band circa 3rd and 4rth grade. Then as I got older I realized they were made fun of a lot, so I pretended to only like them jokingly. Then I stopped listening to them altogether. Then the other day I heard Woth Arms Wide Open in the store and decided to give them a nostalgia listen today. I realized that I do legitimately like a few songs still, especially off Weathered And I’m not even sorry about it. Like they get lumped in with Nickelback a lot but I’d say they have way more listenable songs than Nickelback does. I guess Creed is my guilty pleasure haha plus I can do a mean Scott Stapp impression... and it’s the only way I can sing in tune haha


Also don’t get me wrong, they have a bunch of trash songs, but they could write some catchy tunes to put in between the filler

 

Lmao. I fancy my Scott Stapp impression as well, and you bet your ass that’s how I sang it at karaoke. I hear ya though. On the whole, I like Creed on somewhat of an ironic basis, but I legitimately enjoy tricks like One Last Breath, even if it is incredibly cheesy. It’s catchy, it sounds good, it has some cool guitar. It’s just fun to listen to and I like it. They are far more creative than Nickelback.

 

Scott Stapp on the other hand? Eh, not so much

And yeah... Scott Stapp by himself is a disaster. Whatever happened to him after he was posting videos saying people were after him?

Haha yeah they were my jam back then. I was getting a good dose of the 90s emo classics from my older brother, and then in my own I was just loving the shit out of Creed.


Looks like after those videos and stuff he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and got help.

Also apparently a video came out back in the mid 2000’s of him and Kid Rock getting blow jobs. So that’s a thing that exists in the world...... his Wikipedia has some weird stuff haha

 

Happy Election Day everybody! (Or at least everybody here from the US)

I’ve gotten so much junk mail from these people running for township trustee and I’m ready for it to be over!

Also, and I know this is a couple days late, I’ve enjoyed being able to type EST again! This whole getting dark at 5:30 PM thing is bs though.

@Larry David and whoever else, I saw the episode of Curb last night where Larry gets high and screams at himself in the mirror after going to the Dodgers game with the prostitute and I was dying the whole time

 

The Carpool Lane! That's in my top 5, possibly top 3!

 

Thats the last episode I remember watching with my girl before all the craziness happened with my family, one of the favs of mine too. Loved his awkward ass tryna communicate with the dealer and getting finessed for his money lol.
