To be fair, so am I. My fiancee is a policy fellow at a public health advocacy firm, and a few years ago worked for a clinic that was getting people enrolled in ACA/Covered California. The amount of insurance horror stories I've heard (both on personal and policy levels) make me increasingly upset with our country's insurance practices.

What'd you think of Stranger Things?

 

Day to day at this point. Could be today but I'm not holding my breath

 

It was a lot for sure, but far from the most I've driven in 3 days! Moving from SD to NOLA consisted of driving 10, 9, and 8 hours over three days (not including any stops on each day), and then the opposite when I moved back. I never want to do that again.

We haven't finished season 2 yet (7 episodes in) but I mostly like it as much as the first season. Everyone was perfectly cast for their parts. I wasn't a huge fan of the 7th episode though, which felt more like an X-Men origin story.

My thoughts on episode 7;

I thought overall it sucked. I understand why the episode needed to be done, the question "are there others like her out there and what are they doing, how are they living their life?" needed to be answered. but the way they did it was so crappy. why are they like the suicide squad? it just felt so forced and so horribly executed. I hated everyone in that new group. It was a necessary plot point that was just done so poorly IMO.

 

That's pretty much exactly how I felt.

 

need to be more specific when you have a spoiler tag, I thought you were going off on star wars episode 7. now the whole season is ruined for me, thanks.


just kidding, I thought the episode was fine. I thought introduced what the show is/can do in the future while also being a decent plot line for Eleven/Jane

 

Yeah, pretty much what I thought as well.

 

Oh man, the last 2 episodes though are gold.

 

I'm excited to watch them! I just have to wait until the weekend
