Can we talk about the new record? We discussed the back catalogue for literally 8 years

Same!!!! I kept saying this yesterday. Sounded like it was grading into a punk track and it could have been a YFW mixed with their new sound thrwoback track.

  4. Not really yet and I'm even from Kentucky, please don't shame me haha. It takes me a long long time to get around to checking out new artists these days. Plus I was out of the country when his new record came out.

I will this weekend for sure though, I'll have the time!

I absolutely love both At The Bottom and Bed.

Some of us haven't had a chance to listen to the new album yet...

The last chorus of 137 is so insanely powerful. Those bass drum hits.... so good

There is a general brand new thread :)

Jk- it's cool I just don't want this to turn into pages and pages about the lyrics to bed

Oh man I definitely thinks it wins Americana AOTY, I'd honestly have it up for best AOTY had it not been for ABMTTS and Sci-Fi. Unreal what this span of a month and half has come to fruition.

I get to see Sturgill 9/7, ManOrch 9/8, and BN 10/29. What a fucking fall.

I really love IAAN. I can see why it would be polarizing for some BN fans. I really love the message of the song that you are mentioning here.

"I’m not a prophecy come true. I’ve just been goddamn mean to you. So what is this thing laced with. Please, don't replace me. I surrender, embrace me. Whatever I'm faced with."

Incidentally being the worst version of yourself, but having someone or something pull you through no matter how hard or troubling it may be.

My favorite Brand New album, in my top 15 albums of all time and a top 5 Pop Punk album of all time (coming from someone who loves Pop Punk). I listened to that album last night and it still blows me away.

    It's my mum's dodge caravan

My favourite part of this is probably that minute at the end of Out of Mana, it's so perfect I almost want a full song out of it.

I was listening to it with my wife next to me in the car and she was mentioning how much she loved it despite having never really listened to BN before. For me, it was very telling of what they were going for. A great little personal moment with the song and my wife.

Yep. This is the one song that blew me away on my first listen. Had to go back and repeat it 3-4 times before finishing the rest.

    No, I'm 100% serious.

Plenty of songs on Devil and God were good or average and could have been better.

My album ranking is YFW>Deja>Science Fiction>Devil and God>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Daisy

It's way too late, or much too early Prestigious

Lit Me Up is a great opening track. I love when albums start slow. Kid A is another perfect example of a great album that starts with a low energy track.

  24. Yeah I've seen very good things about that Childers record from lots of folks I trust about country music. I'm sure I'll love it.

Nice!! I saw Isbell and Sturgill within two wks of each other back in July, and I'm currently waiting to buy tickets at noon today to see Jason again in Louisville in December. He's got basically the best live show around right now in my book

Last night I was driving home with a friend who HATES this kind of music and he was actually really digging this album. At one point he asked me if it was Radiohead.
