This album is an hour long,. I doubt there is a second album purely because this one is so long.

like fuck me thats dark but also thats a hilarious play on words

 

Had to go for a drive tonight around empty dark streets and spend another hour with this album.

Brought me back to my deep depression days driving around the same streets at like 2 or 3 in the morning blasting TDAG. Awesome 2nd listen for me.

 

I'm really coming around on these being probably the best lyrics Jesse has ever written. It's just sheer brilliance start to finish.

 

"This is the last one" come on yall they say it in the song they've been pretty clear about this lol

 

I'm still in disbelief - these mother fuckers called their shot with the (2000-2018) shirts and still crushed it

 

451 is my immediate favorite off one play through.

 

I love that little acoustic track at the end of Out Of Mana.

Lit Me Up is so unnerving / I'm still collecting my thoughts from all my listens today and that opener has just stuck with me.

I will have something written about this record (whether it's a review or something else) by the end of the weekend

 

I don't think that we get another full album but I wouldn't be surprised if we haven't heard the last Brand New song to be officially released just yet.

 

451 is just a crazy song, so bluesy and nasty and so, so catchy.

 

This album will definitely help me get over my disappointment in the Manchester Orchestra album.

Finally listening to this 137 is probably my favorite track off the album so far.

 

I agree. Sometimes you have to find other reasons for people to finally get it.

 

No Control-451-Batter Up is the absolute best possible sendoff for this band. To me, it feels like a perfect encapsulation of everything that makes their career beautiful in three songs. And even still, as perfect as those songs are, I think I like a couple others better (Lit Me Up, Could Never Be Heaven).

What a fucking album. What a fucking career.

I suppose I am in the minority on that album.

 

On an album full of haunting tracks, Batter Up might be the most so.

 

But they can do no wrong!!!!!

 

Those 4th harmonies give me chills

 

I haven't stated this on this site, but it just feels like an Andy side project and really different from MO's past work. I love Andy's work (RAGC) more that MO, so it's not necessarily a bad thing. I am just disappointed we didn't get the whole MO sound. I dunno. I will probably like it more and more over time.

I'm on vacation, and pretty much dying while reading through this thread. I'm away from my computer and have no way of transferring my pre-order digital download to my iPhone (and can't bring myself to stream some low quality rip for my last first Brand New album listening session...likely ever).
