Worth it

 

Basically a pretty scathing indictment of modern conservatism, specifically of the radical Christian variety. Ending the song by saying "God is love" was a pretty great touch, pointing out the hypocrisy of that worldview, I thought.

 

"In the Water" is so so good and so different from anything they've done before

 

Going in for a second listen before I go to bed. The intro to Lit Me Up is really scary when you're home alone at night, haha.

 

The music and melody to No Heaven without You sounds like it could be a song written by GRRMfor an old Westerosi sonng lol...just need some medieval/Westeros lyrics to ot

Not sure what harmonies they're talking about either this has more than the other albums between the two that I can tell

Like the album or not, that's whoever's opinion, but calling it "safe" is just plain dishonest.

Waste is so cool. Chorus almost gives me Thrice vibes.
