Well it looks like their anniversary date is the same day as my bday. Such a cool connection!

 

I was adulting all morning, now working from home.

But I just want to nap.

 

Funny how quickly that transition happens over just a few years.

"We will never sleep, cause sleep is for the weak!"

You're damn right I'm weak, where's the couch at?

 

I'm also using a TV as a monitor in my makeshift home office, which is the corner of my upstairs where my dog's crate usually is (it sits under a desk we don't really use). The nice thing is it has built-in speakers so I don't have to wear headphones.

I've always been sleepier during the day than at night. Glad my kids don't have that issue though

 

Just got off of a conference call with a client and my team. We were trying to find a better process to get quicker resolutions on something, and I was like "Hey why don't I just be the first line of defense, and if I can't resolve it, I'll kick it up"

After the call ended, literally the next minute I was like "Shit, I just gave myself so much more work" I felt a little better after one of my reports said, "I think that's really commendable though that your first thought was to help and selflessly take that on to ensure it's done right" I thought that was a nice thing to say!

Some say they've had success fixing that with acupuncture. Needles being inserted in any capacity is far too great a price to pay though, lol.

 

That was really commendable of you,

We're understaffed by 2 people on my team right now (out of 8) and have been for a few months so we're all a little overworked, but for some reason I keep saying "yes" when someone asks me if I can help with something that normally isn't my responsibility. Usually they end up being simple things, but sometimes it ends up being something much bigger and I think "why did I do this to myself!?"

 

I need to go pick that up on Bandcamp. Or maybe I'll just make a donation in their name and then listen on Apple Music like I normally would.

 

As long as it doesn't impact my Chorus time
