After several listens, I think this is a great collection of very good songs but it doesn’t feel like it’s a cohesive statement. But maybe it doesn’t have to be. I’m glad it exists and that we’re around in a time when three great artists are collaborating together.

 

I need to check out Lucy Dacus. Haven't really listened to her before and whenever she gets vocal time it was pretty gripping.

 

Historian and Home Video are both pretty close to flawless

Solid album

 

So solid! Loved a lot of those lyrics, had some chills, felt like a good coming-of-age movie at some parts, I'll just listen to that new Hold Steady album and I'm getting back to listen to it for second time.

 

We’re in Love is so good.

 

this is everything I was hoping it’d be. Also, the image chosen for the LP cover is perfect for the music within. Love when that happens.

 

Satanist is great. Liking this a lot so far.

 

Here I was thinking Not Strong Enough was going to be my 2023 theme song, but then Satanist comes along to remind me I’m a fool
