Lol the ranks are a funny coincidence, Smash was the 11th ranked album in 94, now 197, exactly what TBS ranked at it's best

 

Here in Spain Yellowcard, FOB, Dashboard or TBS had little to no impact with any of their releases. However acts like Billy Talent, AFI or Millencolin were huge in Europe for a long time.

I mean, it's a ridiculous premise. I get liking a band, but to say that there are no bands that sound like Blink or that every song Green Day has written is generic pop-punk is factually wrong. Like, hyperbole, fine, but why is it surprising when people don't seriously engage it?

 

Oh yeah, AFI should be on the top 10 list too. Maybe it should be top 13...

Yeah I noticed it seemed like they were playing some pretty sizable shows recently

 

Yeah, headlining over Sum 41 and Simple Plan (who themselves have cases to be at the end of a hypothetical top ten list).

 

It makes me feel ancient to remember that Rancid's And Out Come the Wolves went gold within 6 months of its release.

 

TBS absolutely do not belong in the top 10 imo

 

Been getting my kid into pop punk and revisited All Killer No Filler the other day. Goddamn. An album cut like Rhythms is about as good as it gets. My 4 year old approves.

 

Bringing it back to Blink, I can't get my kid off Pin the Grenade. Not a complaint, and I totally get it. That song is an absolute dopamine hit.
