I'm really curious how many vinyl pre-orders they've sold so far. It's been almost a year and the standard black vinyl is still for sale. It must be a shit ton.

 

I mean they care and I imagine it factors into when they release the song lol

 

I know we've done this before, but where do we stand on known songs?
Here's what I've got so far:

They posted once with no further promotion, probably a huge pop day of for the die hards and the very little for months. I think the intention was to sell a big batch of limited pressings to capitalize on the announcement hype.

 

There's going to be so many more vinyl variants of this. 100%

 

No doubt, i think they were labeled as “mark, tom, and travis” variants at the time. Colors were pretty unremarkable.

 

Still very wild to me we’re getting that BCR song Tom and Travis had been kicking around.

 

Nah, they cut that one. Sorry.

 

My biggest fear is that possibility haha. Knowing them, they'll cut it because we all examined that random blurry picture so closely and spoiled the surprise, and then made our findings known to the band members themselves like idiots. Just like when we revealed the new single's June release date. They took that away from us so fast. We've been very very bad...

 

Travis confirmed it's on the album back in March.

I don't think "Issues" was one. That song has been discussed here before a long time ago, but it looks like someone sampled blink on a track.

Travis said the name "Bad Bad News" on that video he did with his daughter, but I don't really know what he meant by that considering her reaction was really strange and said "We're not going to talk about that." Maybe a joke song?

Only other one I've seen around is potentially "Otherside". Mark and Dan Book are credited on that one on BMI/ASCAP like the others. However, it's only those two and not Tom and Travis so it might not be for blink... Only thing about that is that it really did look like the title "Otherside" was on that scribbled tracklist Travis had.

Wait now I don’t remember, did we get the video for Edging the same day the song came out or did it come after?

 

Same day. Well the song released at midnight eastern, then like 10-11 hours later or something in the morning the music video premiered on YouTube

 

So how often will we inevitably hear people asking “is *insert song* about Tom?”?

 

Thankfully probably not at all! Phew!

I hope they do some press about the songs on the new album. I’d love to hear Mark’s thoughts on the BCR song and how they decided to bring that into Blink.

 

They're all going to be about Skiba.

 

How cool would it be if Skiba has a feature??

 

I mean, Tom’s songs might be about parts of his life.
