I just wanna say how aesthetically pleasing that waveform is thank you for coming to my blink talk

 

Coachella is all about who you surround yourself with. If you don't have fun, you might need to look inward and ask why that might be.
With that said, Blink is not the obvious choice to headline, but as a last minute replacement I think it's perfect. The hype last weekend was ridiculous, the show was fun and funny with a few mainstream hits that everybody knows, and plus there's the Travis/Kardashian pull as well. It's not perfect, but I'm sure the event planners are pretty happy, all things considered.
Or I'm wrong, I don't care.

 

Lol yeah I had no desire to see them ever try it again, but now I want them to give it a shot

Coachella sounds like it would be more fun/worth it if you really enjoy DJ sets, and are in your 20s.

 

I'm neither. It's a music festival with a shit ton of great artists, if you like good music, it's easy to like the festival

 

I might be stoned but I just realized lyrically it would’ve made more sense for Reckless Abandon to be called Anthem Pt. II.

They feel more thematically similar.

 

How many of the people on the lineup this year did you know? I think I’d only heard of 10 of them this year. I feel like I know less and less every year though haha.

 

I knew a lot still, but liked less this year than any other. That being said, there's still easily 5-10 I would see each day which is way worth it.

 

I've seen Refused, At The Drive-in, Neutral Milk Hotel, Outkast, Radiohead, the Gza in a small room with 100 people, Nas perform Illmatic with an appearance from Lauryn Hill, Frank Ocean actually do a full set, The Replacement fronted by Billie Joe Armstrong, a freaking 2 Pac hologram and dozens of other awesome things with some of my best friends in the world.

"Coachella sucks" is such a tired, lame take.

 

Yeah I couldn't even begin to list the once in a lifetime shows I've seen

 

I get to hang out with @ComedownMachine for a whole weekend and annoy him and that’s worth it by itself

 

I always thought festivals were a cool place to check out new music too I don’t know a ton of the Coachella bands but it still sounds like a good time

New episodes of Succession and Barry, plus Blink headlining Coachella this Sunday night? Doesn’t get much better than that.

 

idk I think if you don't limit yourself in what music you listen to you'd probably know a decent amount of acts on the Coachella lineup

I think people are conflating Coachella being bad with not knowing a lot of acts on the lineup, the lineup is not bad just because you do not know many acts playing

 

Just this year alone Coachella got:

- boygenius first public show in 5 years
- Jai Paul's first show ever
- One of the small handful Bjork performances in the states since shows came back
- Blink's first show back with Tom
- Frank Ocean (I know, his set was terrible, but the general idea of them getting a rare act)
- A bunch of popular/relevant undercard acts (there's too many to name honestly)

and I wouldn't even call this one of the best Coachella's, which is saying something

 

The venn diagram of huge Frank fans and huge Blink fans is probably pretty small but luckily I am in that haha. So stoked for them, this is such an awesome opportunity for them and I have full faith in them after how good they were the first weekend. Will for sure stay up irresponsibly late and watch the stream

However, you guys should probably be prepared for salty Frank fans to really shit on them online
