Starting with Anthem Part 2 and The Rock Show brought back the Pop Tour Disaster vibes for sure.

 

So my thoughts. So blink is back. It's not peak 2001-2009 blink but I'll take it. Tom sounds like he basically hasn't missed a beat and mark somehow sounds better than he did pre cancer. Couldn't have asked for a better set for this first show. The hits plus some "deep cuts". I'm still not a fan of down or I miss you live but I enjoyed it. The screen animations were great. I especially liked reckless abandon. Totally ok with no California or nine tracks. Their age shows so much, I'm a little worried that the tour grind plus fatigue will be a factor for later tour dates.

If it were up to me I'd keep this exact set, rearrange it so that they open with dumpweed or feeling this, and add like three more songs. Those three being Josie, pathetic, and carousel lol.

Seems like they have a decent amount of off days and like two weeks before different legs of the tour. Hopefully they'll be fine.

Am glad I'm seeing them in May just in case. Also seeing them at wwwy so be curious to compare them after a long summer.

 

Relistened to Edging a few times and I really love the synth/keys in the background. Wish they were more present in the studio mix.

 

Ya this shouldn't go unnoticed. I'm glad he's using help, dudes voice has been shot for over a decade.

 

Lmao yea the Dalai Lama one got me hard. Mark just throws his head back and gives the most genuine laugh. Love it.

This was the only portion of that set where they just felt “rusty” to me. They talked over each other a lot towards the beginning like they didn’t have their timing or rhythm worked out yet, but it got better as the show went on. Just adrenaline and jitters, I think.

I definitely felt like I got a great sleep haha, I slept through the night except for when my cat came into the room and started hitting the blinds to look outside at 5 am

 

The google drive link is giving the too many people have accessed this file error. I found an internet archive link on Reddit but it’s going dial up slow and failed at like 6 GB when I tried downloading it overnight..
