My expectations went from May to August

 

I’m impatient but I still think it’s a good thing they’re taking their time with it and presumably really exploring ideas.

If you told us like a year ago the next blink album would be them 3 together in a room for 6 months working on it we’d all be falling over in excitement.

Don’t forget it all still applies even if you’re bummed it’s not done! The blink Italian page just gave everyone a false timeline of it being done which led to everyone being super impatient lol

 

I mean, are we sure we can trust Mark on this? HasItLeaked said the album was done last month.

 

Realistically, I assume we're looking at a new single/tracklist reveal/pre-orders toward the end of April and the album release late summer/early fall.

I would love to be wrong and get a May/June digital release of the album, and the vinyl would come later.

 

i'm going in for surgery tomorrow so at least it sounds like i won't be missing anything while i'm under the knife!

I thought they'd have another single out going into the tour but maybe not. Edging might be the only new song they play. Feel like it would be out of character to play an unreleased track.

 

they played a couple new songs on their Neighborhoods tour before the album was out, so i could see them doing one or two others.

 

After Midnight was def played live prior to being released, same with GOTDF (I think?)

However, I feel like a single released sometime prior to the tour is still likely to happen. That’s like 5-6 weeks away.

 

Would be insanely weird to not get an album announcement before the tour starts

 

Good luck, Brad. Whatever you do, don’t listen to FOAM when you get out. You deserve a better reentry into the world than that

Correct, they played After Midnight and Ghost before they were officially released. Hearts All Gone was released the day of their first Neighborhoods Tour show.

Too late to reply to this? Other than blink my other all-timers tend to be The Dear Hunter, Coheed, Motion City, and The Wonder Years. Though that is admittedly a pretty narrow view of my overall tastes.
