I still can't believe the Kardashians infiltrated the blink camp.

 

Only time I’ve had to do that was when I was a road dog and got a call to do a run of shows with a band of whoms music I wasn’t familiar with with about three days notice so I had no choice but to listen to the songs in the set on repeat as much as possible. I hate those songs now but I knew them really well at least hahah

 

I dont mind Saturday Love

 

Cut out the first 60 seconds of it and yeah that song is great.

 

Even some songs that are decent on those Love albums are just recycling ideas he had already used. "Shove" has nearly the same chorus as "Everything's Magic"

Lifeforms is their best album by a mile.
The Dream Walker is solid too but the production is kinda muddy and there's a couple filler songs on there.

 

I should add that I didn't like I-Empire at all, and only found the first album mildly interesting.

 

Lifeforms is so good. Dream Walker is good too but yes, the production isn’t aging well for me.

I remember an interview with Aaron and the interviewer described Dream Walker as “Lo-Fi” and you could tell Aaron didn’t really vibe with the description, but he was cool about it haha.

The Love albums grew on me a lot. Some solid deep cuts on their.

 

Just the two different worlds colliding part throws me off.

 

Really, I only go back to a small handful of songs from AvA that I would actually say that I genuinely like. "Overload", "Kiss & Tell", "Teenagers And Rituals", "Automatic", "Bullets In The Wind" and "Mercenaries", off the top of my head.

I do like the last two records more than the rest though. I gave Whisper and Empire a fair chance back in the day and liked them at the time (I guess) but I can't get through them anymore.

 

If you watch some of the making-of footage, the guitar tones sound amazing when they are actually tracking them, but then the studio version makes them sound like complete mush. It's unfortunate.

 

Nothing about this surprises me

 

Are there any AVA albums that are better than a blink album hmm

 

Lifeforms is way better than Cheshire Cat and Buddha haha

 

I'd take Lifeforms over California, Nine, Neighborhoods, Cheshire Cat and Buddha.
