I still think “Fighting The Gravity” is the most overlooked song. It’s so good!

 

Neighborhoods also has some of the blatantly darkest lyrics from Blink. MH 4.18.2011, Fighting the Gravity, and Kaleidoscope are GRIM. This album doesn't get the love it deserves. It isn't their greatest masterpiece but it has some great moments on it.

 

I got stupidly high one night back a decade ago and had a panic attack and it was that moment Fighting the Gravity clicked for me lol

 

Pretty sure the song is about an LSD trip Mark had. I like throwing it on during the rare times I do LSD.

Im starting to think, as the tape keeps growing on the blink site.. The single is called "Under Construction" and the album is Hard at Work! or vice versa... But the fact that there is like 5 strips that say "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" over and over on the strips just make that title stick out.

 

I’m in the camp that thinks Neighborhoods is light years better than Nine. But that’s just me haters gonna hate.

 

I agree.. and I love that it gets so conflicted its like.. dude... its all just... fun.... Is reaching for a shooting star that shot right through your hand and burned a hole in your heart cornier than being a girl dressed in black from another world and going to the dark side with someone?

Didn’t he say that the song was about a time where his drink was spiked with something and he didn’t know what? The song definitely captures a scary, tripped out vibe.
