No shot there’s a new album in early 2023

 

Could be a shot for late 2022 though...

 

If an album isn’t already done, I’m not going to hold my breath for whatever release date they tell us initially.

 

I just feel like they're coming back in a big way with Tom, and possibly as a four piece, but we'll see. I think they could've been working on an album all year. I feel like Tom covered well when he said he was recording guitars on Steve-o's podcast by saying it's for a live Angels & Airwaves album. I don't think that's a real thing.

Idk I'd be shocked if we get an album before late Summer 2023. Those vinyl production times are killer. This is all assuming said hypothetical album won't be done til sometime next year though

 

I wish they would play some songs off of Nine. I know that’s not going to happen with Tom but there are so many good songs from that album and they never played them live.

 

I think so. I’ll have to go back and watch again.

 

Doing a full Discography replay. Man NINE is so hit or miss for me. Tonight I was loving it though, even some of the songs that have bugged me in the past. Will report back. The early albums haven't gotten a front-to-back listen in a long time.

ayy I listened again today, too. I’m such a stan for After Midnight. I’m also a rare Snake Charmer defender

 

Snake Charmer has always ripped. I don't get the hate on that one.

Snake Charmer musically is great. Lyrics are cringe.

 

They’re certainly not as good as:

“couldn’t wait for the summer and the warped tour / I remember that it’s the first time I saw her there”

 

I have listened to Neighborhoods probably 5 times since Friday. It has some of Blink's most cringe lyrics of all time and I love it so much for that. "WE FUCK AND FIGHT LIKE VAGABONDS, WE DANCE LIKE FUCKING ANIMALS"

Wishing well is top tier Tom. It reminds me lyrically of some of his best narrative writing in early AVA.
