I'd honestly love to hear what Tom and Matt could write together.

The difference here between the last couple blink tours is that now in the 2020s, pop-punk is back in the mainstream in a big way. Travis Barker might be more famous than he's ever been? Tom returning plays into the 2000s pop punk nostalgia angle that will most likely make this a much hotter ticket than the 2019 or 2016 runs

 

Would much prefer all 4 together as opened to Tom in and Matt out

 

But do you think the initial call from management was "Tom is OUT (of cash)! Who's up for a reunion?"

 

i think i've said it before a few times, but...

let Tom and Matt lean into their weird but melodic vibes, and feed off each other's ideas to mold them in a way that works. then let Travis just be Travis. and then have Mark come in to give it a more pop/modern spin on it and give it the final Blink stamp of approval. and have a great producer tie all the loose ends together and make it pretty. i think that would be such a great combo meal.

 

@Jason Tate - blink twice if you've heard anything about a 4-piece Mcblink-nugget.

 

Tommy truly want a punk-rock weekend.

Call me a pessimist or a realist but I don't think Matt stays if Tom comes back.

 

So supposedly one of the big festivals that blink is rumored to be on next year is announcing their lineup on Oct 11.

It's a rumor based on a rumor but at least a rumored date for something rumored.

 

Would make sense on a Live Nation tour announcement given the timeline radio has been given

 

LOL. Would be really funny if blink and the festival made the announcement, but with no announcement of what the band member lineup is.

I was happily indifferent about what happened next with Blink and now all I can think about is a tour with Turnstile opening. Seems extremely unlikely Matt would be involved but it would be cool to hear him and Tom on a track together.

 

Agreed and that scares me since I don’t trust Tom will fully commit and will leave again.

 

Nah I’m sure a third time is a charm. Everything is going to be fine.

If they do in fact tour with Tom, I'm treating this as a farewell tour. I'll see them again, one last hurrah before it falls apart again.
