I have Faith I'll Find a Way to Make It What You Want and you'll feel New Again. But to be honest, I think you're a Liar and never Stood A Chance.

 

TBS is almost purely just a nostalgia band to me. I've listened to everything they've put out, but aside from just 2 songs (El Paso and Flicker Fade), I don't listen to anything post-New Again. And even then, TAYF is the only album of theirs that I still ever listen to front to back, which isn't very often anymore.

 

I went the the Louder Now tour with AVA as direct support. That show was so sick. TBS in their Heyday, Tom going hard with something to prove. The Gift and The Adventure were wild!

 

I, too, was there.

 

TW and TBS are the only bad TBS albums

 

Half of that statement is correct.

 

The first one is great, the second is ok, the third is good, the new one is great. The rest suck.

 

I think I jumped the TBS ship after the 3rd one, so good timing

 

aside from not hearing the new one I back this ranking.

 

"More Than You Know" is replacing "Reckless Abandon" tonight, according to their setlist. No "One More Time" yet though, although they did soundcheck with it.

If you take the good half of songs on Happiness Is and the good half of songs on Tidal Wave you have one good album but both albums have too many of boring and bad songs. You do have me excited to hear the new one though

 

I dunno how you take bad songs and combine them with other bad songs to get a good album. I truly hate both of those albums.

 

You honestly think They Don't Have Any Friends, Beat Up Car, and Better Homes And Gardens are bad songs?

 

How many more ways do I need to say I hate those albums? Unlistenable dreck.

 

As a fan of their first two albums, that's such a weird take on those 3 songs in particular (to me) haha

But I mean to each their own, that's totally fine!

 

"Flicker, Fade" is their best post-reunion track, and it's not even close. I'd even agree if someone says it's the only good song they've released since John and Sean came back haha. (I like "El Paso" a lot too though, but I get that not everyone would agree with that song.)
