Dude, that’s my thing. Like with the whole 6/2 song release - I was hopeful and then it got closer and became apparent that it wasn’t happening. I was bummed but just said “ah, must have changed plans” and moved on.

Those people act as if they were scammed out of their entire life savings when things don’t pan out how they hope.

 

There is something inherently funny when you’re complaining a punk band that sings about shit and penises isn’t buttoned up and organized with Swiss army precision.

 

I think it's even funnier that you think blink is just a "punk band that sings about shit and penises."

I’m always disappointed when we don’t get an update that we’ve hyped ourselves up for (and more so when the band seems to be hinting at something that doesn’t immediately come to fruition), but to feel like genuine anger over it and think that the band or label doesn’t know what they’re doing is weird, haha.

Something is coming. When it’s, I’m sure the band will tell us about it.

 

9/5 like the website says

 

Nothing about what’s been released has made me think it would be today. Tomorrow or Friday if things haven’t changed based on the family emergency.

 

Unless it’s a global release nothing is coming song wise tomorrow. Nothing got added to New Zealand Apple Music since it’s already Wednesday there. My guess is Friday for new music. Unless the family medical emergency delayed everything

 

Outside of the website saying 9/5?

 

I can't see why the family emergency would throw off any plans other than shows.

 

I think most people are simply anticipating an announcement of some sort. Either today or very soon after the “maintenance”. Hopefully the new song/video drops with an album preorder soon though regardless of when that is, specifically.

 

Just remember Sum 41 has been hyping up a double album since last year and they haven’t even released a song yet and have since ‘broken up’. So things could be worse in the blink camp.

 

Saying it’s going to be down for maintenance on 9/5 doesn’t make me think it’s going to be announced on 9/5. If it was going to be announced today they would’ve teased it in other ways leading up to it imo.

I could be way off base, just my opinions lol. Nobody may actually know honestly

 

I'd expect some sort of change to the site at bare minimum... down for maintenance sign/yellow tape across the stall. A new song/clip/whatever would be great but do something....

 

Maybe it means it’ll be down on a random tuesday between the hours of 9-5

Ever since Travis mentioned October (twice) as when the album comes out I really am not getting myself to really anticipate anything.

Waking up every day thinking “It’s gotta be today because [insert fictional scenario]” and then truly feeling disappointed, days after a member of the band had a family emergency, is just a lil’ too crazy for me.
