Maybe we'll even get an all Matt vocals song on the deluxe album

    That would be cool.

I hope we do, although I love the back and forth between Mark and Matt too. I get why the band went in the sharing vocals of each song in California to get fans use to Matt but that formula got kind of stale towards the end, especially since each song started with Mark.

You are not alone. One of my least favorites on the album, but all my friends love it. Could still see it as a big single though, so it makes sense for them to push it.

Dual vocals were always important to blink but not the way they did it on California. It was always one or two songs with both singers, and then every other song on the album would be one or the other

It was kind of a nice change I thought. It's not like every song did the back and forth exactly the same either.

I think it'll only get more natural as they work together though, probably some single vocal songs, not counting backing vocals. Still didn't expect as much Matt as we got, shows you the difference in egos. Mark could barely get a word in by the DED ep in his own band lol.

  7. That was one of my biggest gripes with the album. If the songs are going to have the same vocal pattern (Mark/Matt/Mark/etc) and aren't going to have riffs to differentiate them, all the songs are obviously going to start blending together at some point in the album.

Exactly and that's what happened towards the end of the album starting with Home. Only Rabbit Hole, San Diego and Left Alone felt like a break in that pattern.

    I am a haunted house. I'm superstitious.

California still holds up so well for me. It's the only blink album I am currently listening to on repeat.

Eh The guitar on the bridge of No Future stands out to me quite a bit.

That bridge is probably my favorite part on whole album.and that's just because it's sounds like a something that would totally fit on Skibas Babylon album.actually Iam pretty sure that I heard that keyboard melody there before

I've kind of soured on the album over time but I still love the guitar riff on Kings of the Weekend (even if the song is pretty corny).

Corny song, but I really kind of enjoyed it when I heard them play it live this summer. And yes, probably the most memorable guitar riff on the album

I'm listening to Enema of the State and I feel like the songs lead into one another so much for fluidly than they did on California. For example, listen to Going away to College into What's My Age Again or even more impressively Adam's Song into All the Small Things. Really makes it feel like a cohesive album rather than a playlist of songs

This album is ok. I feel as if it kind of drags on at points, and doesn't have a ton of lasting value.

But there's still a lot of moments I absolutely love. (San Diego, She's Out Of Her Mind, Sober, The Only Thing That Matters, Cynical)

No love for Bored to Death?? I feel like we got sort of inundated with this one but in a couple years it'll largely be the most re-visited song from this album

Actually I would consider that one of the highlights I like Rabbit Hole too

I'm comparing California to blink's past albums. That's one of the things old Tom was really good at.

Absolutely. Enema sounds like it could be an album with just one long track to it. The tracking and transitions into each song are flawless.

Actually the "Where'd she go" part in the bridge of No Future might be my favorite part of the album

SOOHM up to #3 on the Alt chart. Might get a #1 peak, certainly exceeding my expectations

Interestingly enough when I saw them on Sunday nobody knew SOOHM in their hometown

Bored to Death might be a top-5 blink song for me personally. Can't wait to give this album another listen in the new year. Currently blasting Christmas music until then.

It's probably top 10 for me, although every time I try and do even a tentative ranking I fail miserably

the ships have all sailed to the sea

Bored to Death is certainly a Blink all-timer, and I'll probably never make a "Best Of" playlist without it, Cynical, No Future, or San Diego on it from here on out.
