Just so I'm on the same page, he reposted this one without the blink smiley, thus making it confusing?

 

Yup, he posted the far left panel without the logo, and now we're all wondering why.

 

If I had to guess: Trademarked / Tom / Legal.

I can't think of any other reason off the top of my head that makes sense.

 

You'd think they'd have removed it from the band's account too then, right?

@Jason Tate I would've expected more issues with them carrying on under the blink name rather than the logo, but some behind the scenes legal BS wouldn't surprise me.

 

That place used to be my jam back in the day. I was pretty much gone though at that point. Its weird how some people's lives revolve around that board when I went back a couple months ago.

 

They all had makeup/costumes on because of a skit that ultimately got cut from the final version of the show. They were supposed to be getting beat up by Martha Stewart.

When I learned the truth, I thought it was so ridiculous how terrible I felt about the idea of them fighting each other, haha . Think I grew up a little after that.

 

The logo could very well have been a late addition to the artwork and Mark could have posted a piece from an earlier version.

How pissed would you be if this album gets delayed bc of legal shit with Tom

 

I think Tom just wanted completely out of that band. So they worked some sort of agreement and they are free to do whatever they want as blink-182 as they want and he gets some sort of compensation. I figure that's why it's been over a year without to much activity besides some one off shows and festivals.

 

Favourite live performance. The speed they play it at is perfect for the song and that bridge.. God damn.

It could have even been a legal thing with Nirvana, who knows.
