Yes I believe both of them were in each other's wedding parties and both were at Travis' wedding as well.

Yeah I've been pretty happy with my 1-mile walk to and from work haha. California and Pokemon.

It'll be so weird looking back on this and saying "yeah I was playing Pokemon and listening to blink" and then have to specify 2016 instead of 2001.

Ok so I've had some weeks with this album now, so I can put in some words. I'll keep it brief. I am in no way a music officiant so if my opinions are in a meh category forgive me.

Top Mentions(songs I love): Cynical, BTD, SOOHM, Sober, No Future, Home, Left Alone, TOTTM

although that's the thing about this album, the top mentions for me IS ALWAYS CHANGING. One day I'll love No Future, next day it'll be Kings of the Weekend. One day it'll be Bored to Death, next day it's Los Angeles. I think the only song that I go to the least is Teenage Sattelites but even that I still like, it'll pop up in my head and sing along with. Mark and Matt sound great on this album IMO, Matt selling songs such as Cynical and No Future, and Mark selling songs like Rabbit Hole, BTD, Home, and both singers lists could go on. I honestly strain to think of any faults. My only fault I could maybe give is that the volume on the guitars needed to be turned up in certain parts but I can deal.

Recommending to everyone. ( Seriously I've talked 8 people in to buying this; three of which got pre sale bundles from kings road. It's like I'm an unofficial street team).

 

Agree! There's some pretty sick guitar parts that could have been turned up such as the pre-chorus in Sober or the ending chorus in SOOHM. No biggie though

 

Those are actually the two that come to mind with me too lol

 

This is exactly how I am, and to make matters worse, I just recently moved back in with my dad. haha. (just for the time being until I buy a house, but still). I feel like I'm 10. Nostalgia to the max.

I like California but I'm honestly surprised how high it is.

I wasn't initially convinced but I'm fairly certain that She's Out of Her Mind is going to be a relatively massive single

 

This is fairly close to my own personal ranking. Some are a bit off from my preferences, though.

 

I like TOTTM lol

 

Matt's verse in TOTTM is the best part of the song.

 

sober was on sirus xm's advanced placement show where they play songs they think are about to pop, wouldnt be surprised if that was a single. kroq might have played it too.

 

I love TOTTM - feels very Dude Ranch-ish

 

BTD, No Future, San Diego, Teenage Satellites are probably my favorites. The only songs since 2003 that would rank higher than anything on this album for me would be After Midnight and Even if She Falls

 

Guys, I played California out. I had to put the album aside for a little bit, I'll obviously revisit it because it's a great fucking record. I feel ashamed.

 

I haven't played it out. I've only listened to it around 3 times
