Stop calling people insane for loving an album that YOU don't personally like. It's really not that hard to understand.

 

Lol I've never seen a site and posters that thought they were too good for something as I've seen for this band on AV Club. Pardon me if I put no stock in an AV Club review.

 

This is incredible! Laughed so hard.

 

You're not gonna last much longer on this site if you don't change how you post here.

(And it's not remotely false.)

 

I'm really liking a majority of this album aside from Sober, Teenage Satellites, Kings of the Weekend, and Rabbit Hole.

Sober has Pat's melodies all over it (which I understand is the point) but I'm not a fan. Only part I dig is how it sounds like they're gonna go into a second chorus with the quiet handclap part and it transitions into the piano break. It's a genuine curveball in what I find to be a pretty structurally predictable album.

 

AV Club has a really good write up on the album.

 

Please go #1!!! It would make me so happy. I hope Drake's label doesn't discount the album like in the week the RHCP album came out. Shocked that Maxwell isn't by any means a contender...

Was expecting between 85k-100k for blink. Those are great sales. Neighborhoods did 150k and that was five years ago. Plus, it was their first post-reunion record.

 

Yeah Maxwell's last did like 300k first week and went platinum. Even if it was 7 years ago and I don't have a pulse on that music at all, I figured that'd be number one. Definitely not half of blink.

 

I'm in love with the bridge in Bored To Death.

 

Probably my favorite moment in the entire record.

The bridge on Los Angeles is awesome too.

 

I always have a tough time digesting the beginning of Los Angeles, but I absolutely love it when the bridge hits.

 

This is after I spent $200+ for the Bethlehem show last week...

 

Framed. I have the CD in my car, my iPhone and my iPod at work. Lol Decided to frame this bad boy and hang it up. I'm sentimental as fuck when I love a record. Lol

And yes, I'm aware I'm a nerd for framing a blink vinyl.

I've been reliving this through YouTube all week. Someone uploaded some pretty great videos.

 

Yeah I wish I liked the rest of the song more, because the bridge is one of my favourite moments on the album.
