5SOS is sorta like a "more pop-punkish" 1D if I had to describe them in those terms

 

Why not "Left Alone"? That's the best chorus on the record if you ask me.

 

I'm not one to shit on other bands until I have listened to them, I haven't listened to 5SOS before. Are they shitty ? That's what people keep telling me lol.

Am I the only one who thinks No Future would be a great single?

 

I havent heard the album yet (holding out till tomorrow for a listening party) but i asked my 16 year old brother who doesn't like any of the music i listen to (pop-punk , emo , etc) to listen to Shes Out of Her Mind. He said he really liked it then I gave him Sober to play and he said that was ehh. One person is not enough for a test but I'm assuming a single would be geared toward his demographic.

 

i've listened to a few of their songs to see what they're all about, and this is the only one that i sort of enjoyed.

 

Anyone's preorders from their website ship yet? Was hoping mine would be here for launch but im guessing its not gonna make it.

 

I don't think it's the best next choice for a single. I'd love to see single #2 either be She's Out of Her Mind or Teenage Satellites. Then, single #3 is Home Is Such a Lonely Place.

I've said it 12 times already, but it should be their second single as it's the best song on the record, pound for pound.

But, since it's the obvious choice to me, they'll clearly go with something else.

 

I lost my streaming links to Teenage Satellites and Cynical so I only heard it once like 4 days ago, need to give it more listens once it's out.

 

Got my vinyl and cd about an hour ago, cool how early they're showing up

 

i've listened to the album so many times and that song never really sticks out to me. shrug.

 

Left Alone is textbook example of a great chorus

How often are singles the best songs? Not very.

 

That's cool, but I'm sure you've seen it referenced as often as any other song as being the best song on the record, be it critics or fans.

Cynical isn't a single given its structure. Home is too polarizing to be a second single, especially in the middle of summer.

It'll come down to Out of Her Mind vs. Left Alone vs. Sober.

 

To me, Left Alone and Sober could be huge songs.

 

I'd venture even further: never.

 

I know, but it just so happens to have the best chorus on the record. So, if that can't hook most listeners, I don't know what will. Even in my own tests, people have responded most to that chorus. But hey, black shirts and black skirts, right?

Heck, even the verse has that hooky, "You remember, you remember the last night" part.

Matt and Mark complement each other so well on this song.

 

Haha yeah. I stay away from absolutes, but I'd be inclined to pretty much agree with you.

 

"Feeling This" is an exception, that's an incredible song.
