I always struggle to understand how people like this actually exist.

 

Same! Sadly I was a tom fan prior to last year lol I learned when he abandoned ship AGAIN

I thought the same thing. It's easily a Florida Georgia Line hit.

 

Yea, Tom used to be my favorite member, but he's done nothing but disappoint for years now, and I don't get how anyone can think that his recent solo stuff is better than "California".

 

I don't think I'll ever be able to rank these in any sort of order. Instead of having a song I like more over another, it's all measured in favorite moments so far. As a whole my only favorites are Cynical and Left Alone.

 

So I have given this a few more listens and man, I'm really loving it. I love the way the drums sound on this record. Matt fits like a glove and I'm not even missing Tom one bit. The Joke songs don't bother me, although I do find it weird that they closed an album with one.

Overall, I'm digging it. Shes Out Of Her Mind is easily a favorite of mine.

I'd skinny this record down to 10 songs instead of 16 easily.

If this were the actual track listing, i would swap 09 with 10 and close the album with San Diego.

That said, I'm just happy to have some post-self titled Blink that I actually enjoy. No pessimistic or overtly cynical position here about the release.

 

Aw I keep hearing it's so good from my criminal friends who downloaded it early while I refuse lol it's one of my anticipations

 

Teenage Satellites verses are pretty cool but I can't help feeling like Mark came up with the phrase "Teenage Satellites" and just shoehorned it into a song for no reason. Haha. It just sounds kinda weird.

Also it's the THIRD song that ends with whoaing which is a little much.

 

brohemian fits better when you have the album on repeat at least. it's like they want us to never stop listening to the album!

 

Cut Brohemian and move Built This Pool to the end after California just so the final words on the album can be Travis saying "Is that really it?"

Safe for a few songs on TOYPAJ, Untitled has really been the only thing I've ever loved from the band. This is alright so far, but definitely nods more back to the Blink of old.

 

This is pretty fun and easily the most I've liked a Blink album since Enema. Matt's vocals are definitely the best thing about it, which is no surprise. I'll never listen to those joke songs again (that last one makes me embarrassed for them), but the rest is better than I expected. Can't wait to blast Cynical all summer.

 

Cynical was good, the slow one was real nice, and Left Alone is nice.

 

On first listen I think the California Trio is the best the record collectively has to offer - makes sense that it became the title of the record.
