  1. Not sure I like how anyone sings the word "wonder" more than Matt Skiba.

I actually love the first verse and bridge of Teenage Satellites. I think it's the only song I like Mark better on. Haha.

I also really love the way Matt's voice sounds during his verse on "Kings of the Weekend". I can't really explain it, he just sounds so cool.

Home Is Such a Lonely Place is like the Missing You from Future Hearts of this album. Since I've seen the albums compared by several people, I'm just gonna go with it.

So after a few more spins today, this may be one of their best records. I'm not gonna be able to stop listening to it this summer but by fall, when I have a chance to "revisit" it so to speak, I'll know for sure. It's a hell of an album. You can tell they wanted to come out full force and they did just that.

Now if only we could get Tom to join Dan and Derek so they can make an album about vampires in space.

Yep, I see that. Can't help but think of how much more I'd love it if Alex were singing though.

There's definitely stuff they could've cut from this and not ended up with a 16 track album. I'd definitely cut Built This Pool (which is a shame, because pre-release it seemed like a fun thing to throw in there, but it doesn't fit well) and probably Rabbit Hole. That's as far as I've gotten though.

Oh shit, San Diego does sound almost exactly like Bored to Death at the beginning. I seriously was like "didn't I listen to this song already?"

I also really like the way Mark says "beige little boxes". It's so weird going through an album and finding little things like that to love.

The stretch of Kings Of the Weekend -> Teenage Satellites -> Left Alone is my favorite part of the record. Skiba nearly outdoes Mark most of the album. I'm really happy he is apart of it.

I would put this on the level of TOYPAJ, for sure. Not quite as good as Enema, but I am so glad to hear Blink 182 sounding so energized. They sound happy, it is as if I can hear them smiling while playing these songs. That is ultimately what I wanted, since Blink is one of my favorite bands. I didn't even listen to the whole first song on DED and Neighborhoods sounded like they were sleepwalking through an album.

Oh how I missed joke songs from these guys.

  13. I think missing "joke" songs from these guys and being able to see how they absolutely don't fit on the album are congruent thoughts.

They're not even "songs" they're just after thoughts they slapped on it so they could go "hey everybody, lets remind everyone we're still funny."

Oh they absolutely don't fit, but I enjoy them quite a bit. Maybe they should have had them as like an EP to come with preorders or something.

Like the title track a lot. Why the fuck isn't that the closer? Brohemian following that is ridiculous. Like, I just want to rant about it.... it's one of the worst decisions someone's made on an album in a long time.

Lyrics on this aren't very good, but that's nothing new of course and won't bother me. Solid album once I delete the joke songs.

I'm not hearing She's Out of Her Mind as a highlight like a lot of you. There are definitely a handful of catchier songs here.

I tried with that one, I really did, but it's so so bad. I just deleted it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't hate it or anything, I just don't think it'll be one that sticks with me.

Maybe they added the joke songs to appease the Tom fans who thought Golden Showers and Circle-Jerk-Pit were the blinkiest songs of the last decade lol
