Seriously, the only good *music* I've heard so far has come via the shortest songs.

This has me stoked for the NFG and JEW desciptions. But again, this is some random dude, so I'm taking with a grain of salt

Heres the random dudes descriptions of all the songs:
"ok so what i can remember
Cynical - we have now mostly heard this one
    BTD - we all know
Shes out her mind - intro very enema of the state then goes into goldfinger/atl/5sos areas but catchy
Los Angles - at first i was like nope that the hells this .. very r and B FOB .. linkin park ... but i think its really cool the guitar riff was like the offspring kids arnt alright
Sober - May be my least liked track quite poppy again ATL 5sos territory also a bit of plus 44
Build this pool - we know
No future - a stand out .. most alkaline tiro sounding
Home is such a lonely place - Plus 44 .. jimmy eat world ... quite acoustic stripped back
Kings of the weekend - i cant think about anything stand out about it.. i thought one of the chorus or verses sounded liek greenday somthing from 21st breakdown and a new found glory style riff somewhere
teenage satellites - plus 44 alkaline trio mash up lol
left alone - same as the the last track in terms of style my memorys hazy on the last few tracks as my phone started to blow up haha
    rabbit hole - we know
san diego - nothing stand out
The only thing that matters - very punk fast a fater alk trio song .. sweet bassline no fx like .. great track
california - laid back track chilled out vibe"

Take from that what you will.
I hate the comparison shit, but can understand why people do it.

  9. I'll go by Rock Sounds track by track instead aha.

Mark: John, should we write a full version of Cynical?
John: Hang on, I'm gonna get a coffee. Write three songs while I'm gone.
    Mark: But what about Cynical?
John: Do you want a coffee too?
Mark: John, I told you: you NEVER have to ask.
Matt: What'd you guys say about Cynical?
John: Matt, you want a coffee too? How do you take it?
Matt: Black, of course, but what about Cynical?
    John: Travis?
    Travis: Yo.

What? You mean "nothing stand out" is not a good enough description for you?

But seriously, I don't get why people are always so fixated on immediately comparing songs to other bands to explain what they sound like. Say it in more objective terms "Fast punk beat, opens with guitar riff, half-time chorus". Not "Sounds like +44"....... What's that even supposed to mean? Does it sound like "Lycanthrope"? Does it sound like "Lillian?"

Is "punk" not traditionally fast, aggressive and short? Weren't people complaining before they wanted this? What...?

I smiled so big while listening to Cynical. I cannot wait to hear this album.

I'll say it, I think Cynical is my 3rd favorite Blink album opener (1. Feeling This, 2. Anthem Part 2)

Wow. I was skeptical, but "Cynical" is miles ahead of the other released songs. Hopefully there will be a few good jams on this.

EDIT: Goes into "Bored To Death" really nicely too. Solid energy.

  24. It's up there with Pathetic and Dumpweed as great openers
