I hate the comparison shit, but can understand why people do it.

 

I'll go by Rock Sounds track by track instead aha.

What? You mean "nothing stand out" is not a good enough description for you?

But seriously, I don't get why people are always so fixated on immediately comparing songs to other bands to explain what they sound like. Say it in more objective terms "Fast punk beat, opens with guitar riff, half-time chorus". Not "Sounds like +44"....... What's that even supposed to mean? Does it sound like "Lycanthrope"? Does it sound like "Lillian?"

 

Is "punk" not traditionally fast, aggressive and short? Weren't people complaining before they wanted this? What...?

 

That's what I'm saying, that dude could literally mean anything. But at the same time he doesn't seem so sure.

Cynical is straight up No Use For A Name with some NOFX. Awesome.

 

Yeah, the 38 second mark begins the No Use for a Name section.

 

Cynical is fucking dope. That's right in my wheelhouse.

 

I smiled so big while listening to Cynical. I cannot wait to hear this album.

 

Cynical and Rabbit Hole are my current faves.

 

I'll say it, I think Cynical is my 3rd favorite Blink album opener (1. Feeling This, 2. Anthem Part 2)

 

Wow. I was skeptical, but "Cynical" is miles ahead of the other released songs. Hopefully there will be a few good jams on this.

EDIT: Goes into "Bored To Death" really nicely too. Solid energy.

 

It's up there with Pathetic and Dumpweed as great openers
