Lyrics aside, I personally enjoy The Party Song. It's fast and fun.

I mean nostalgia is definitely a factor but I've gotten people into blink like... this year. My mom is almost 40 and really loves the whole untitled record and enema and she only heard them very recently. Same with lots of my friends, and my girlfriend. Heard them this year.

Experimental-wise...which is more experimental in your eyes....We Don't Need to Whisper or Untitled?

  7. And I bet they like Cali a whole lot too.

So you've played toypaj in drop D and you got untitled on the other end?

They do! Didn't say the opposite. Just saying I know people who have gotten into the discography recently enough to not have nostalgia glasses.

Yeah if you ignore the content I'd say The Party Song is actually pretty cleverly done in terms of the weird cadence of the words and run on lines and the rhyming.

I'll never get sick of it. It's a rip snorter

Kid A is experimental, Untitled is not.

  15. That's proving my point, haha! That without nostalgia glasses you pretty easily should find something to like in both. ;)

I'm almost sure I wouldn't love their 1994-2001 stuff if I were 22 on my first listen. Can't say the same about untitled, Neighborhoods, DED or (WYHSB), though. I still connect with those.

I think we should take words in its context. That record being experimental for blink-182 doesn't mean it is experimental for Radiohead or towards the history of music.

We talk too much / We talk in circles

Hindsight is 20/20 as far as the degree to which Untitled is experimental.

It was "experimental" in 2003, especially in the world of blink-182 and the pop punk genre.

    Nowadays, it's just another record.

I was browsing kingdom leaks and on the homepage they had the cover for California and I had a mini heart attack and then realized it was a download for No Future...

Okay I meant actual human beings, Redditors don't count.

  22. Fucking Spice Girls are "experimental" if you've never heard anything else.

Reminds me of the Oink days when you'd log in and see that sweet, sweet red "request filled" box on your homepage.

  24. Hahaha. I've heard a fan say it's as monumental as Ok Computer.

  25. It really wasn't. Ignorance doesn't make it experimental.
